REQUIREMENTS : Grade 12/ National Senior Certificate. Basic R425 equivalent qualification that allows registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse and Midwife/ Accoucheur. Diploma/ Degree in Nursing Education and Administration qualification accredited with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) in terms of government notice R.425 Minimum of 4 years appropriate/ recognizable nursing experience after being registered as a Professional Nurse and Midwife/ Accoucheur. Good communication, supervisory, report writing and presentation skills. Candidate to have ability to work as a team and under pressure. Regulations and legislative framework. Computer.

DUTIES : Facilitate the provision of Education and Training of student nurses during clinical placement. Guide and support student nurses effectively. Support vision and mission of the hospital through participation in meetings, committees and CETU activities. Promote the image of the hospital. Exercise control over student nurses. Render a nursing service within the scope of practice of every category of nurses by ensuring that all wards implement the Nursing care standards and procedures as set out at nursing colleges. Provide direction and supervision for the implementation of the nursing plan, clinical practice, and quality nursing. Maintain a constructive working relationship with nursing and other stakeholders. Utilize human material and physical resources efficiently and effectively. Adhere to hospital, and departmental policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations.
